Legal Document Assistant vs. Paralegal

4. Interviewing clients and witnesses on behalf of the attorney.
5. Paralegals are also prohibited from providing legal advice directly to clients or representing clients in court, however, they are allowed to research and analyze the law and prepare legal arguments under the attorney's direction.

While both Legal Document Assistants and Paralegals play essential roles in the legal field, it is crucial to understand the differences between the two professions. LDAs primarily focus on preparing and processing legal documents for self-represented clients, while Paralegals assist attorneys in various (typically, more complex) legal tasks.
